(Monday April 21, 2014 & Sunday May 18, 2014)
Lakewood firefighters have been busy over the last month helping to raise money for two great charities.
On Monday April 21st Lakewood Firefighters teamed up with West Park Station to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Lakewood Fire Department took the top spot out of 8 fire departments in helping raise the most money for MDA on there respective Night of Guest Bar Tending. The Lakewood Fire Department has a long history of helping raise money for MDA and will continue in our efforts to contribute in any way possible. Overall the celebrity guest bar tending at West Park Station was a great success for all the local fire departments that were involved. (Picture From the Event Bottom Right)
Sunday May 18th Lakewood Firefighters participated in Bowling Against Cancer in a featured match against Cleveland’s Fox 8 news team. Lakewood’s Bravest was once again was triumphant in defeating the Fox 8 news team 872 – 771. It was a great pleasure to be a part of such a great event that featured Fox 8 media personalities Kenny Crumpton and Stacey Frey in raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Proceeds from a fun day of bowling will go to benefit this great cause.
It has truly been an honor for the Lakewood Firefighters to be a part of such great events to benefit these charities.
