Lakewood Fire Companies were dispatched for a report of a house on fire 14900 block of Arden Ave. on Sunday morning.
Upon arrival on scene Engine 4 reported heavy fire showing from the back of the house. Engine 4 stretched an 1.75 pre-connect line to the back of the house to begin fire suppression and protect exposures. Heavy fire was found on the back porch extending into the kitchen. Engine 2 was assigned interior attack and stretched an additional pre-connect to the first floor. Engine 3 was assigned to do a primary search, the search was negative and all occupants were out of the residence. The fire was knocked and the companies starting overhauling checking for fire extension. The high heat caused the siding on both houses adjacent to the structure to begin melting. Mutual aid Engines from Rocky River and Fairview Park were called in to assist in fire suppression.
There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
