(Tuesday March 22, 2016 B-Shift)
Lakewood Fire companies were dispatched to the 13400 block of Clifton Blvd for reports of a structure fire (multiple calls) at approximately 13:40 in the afternoon.
Upon arrival Engine 3 reported heavy fire showing from the rear of a 2.5 story wood frame structure impinging on an exposure. Engine 3 stretched an 1.75″ line to the rear of the structure and started to knock the fire and protect the exposure. Truck 1 arrived on scene and was assigned interior attack. Engine 2 arrived on scene and was assigned to check the exposure for fire extension. Engine 3 extinguished fire on the exterior then moved interior to knock down fire in the kitchen of the structure. All companies overhauled and checked for extension.
Mutual aid from Rocky River was called to assist in fire suppression. There was extensive fire damage to the structure. The fire is under investigation. There were no injuries reported.
